This photograph was taken after my Brother-In-Laws wedding – which my husband was one of the groomsmen.  I think hubby looks very dapper in his tux.  Anyway, I had this paper for quite some time and finally decided to put it to good use, along with the stickers on the right side (which were a set) – I thought the two paired nicely.  The “Man of My Dreams” 3-D embellishment was perfect too – seeing as how my husband and I went to go see a play entitled “The Man of Her Dreams” the night he proposed.  J  I also liked the crown elements on the patterned paper.  I decided to use Glossy Accents to make the crowns pop – just a little bit.

I rarely get to do a “just because” layout of my husband – so I enjoyed doing this one for him.  He is definitely honorable, charming, patient, my rock, my hero….and my babe of course!

For years, I've collected the fortunes from fortune cookies I've received from take out or Asian restaurants.  I love fortune cookies....so a few months back - as I looked at a small container I had with all the fortunes - I wondered what I should do with them....then finally it hit me - I decied to make a scrapbook layout that showcased my love for fortune cookies....so that's what I did.  I finally got around to taking a picture of my fortune cookie - before eating it of course - I had to snap a photo.  Then, after printing the photo - I went to work on deciding how I was going to get the photo plus the majority of my fortunes on the page...and this is what I came up with.
So I challenge you to great a scrapbook layout or something else creative - using something you've been collecting over the months or even years!  :)

Fall is definitely my favorite season hands down.  This past weekend, we did our new family tradition of visiting the pumpkin patch.  Unlike last year, our little Princess was a bit more active since she's older, and she of course had an opinion on each pumpkin she encountered.  Also, unlike last year - last year we went to the pumpkin patch at the end of September and we were only there for about 15 minutes - it was getting a bit cold.  I had my jacket on, hubby had on a sweater and baby girl had on a warm up suit....see layout below (Posted 9/7/10).  This year, the temperature was in the high 80's, hubby and I should have worn shorts and baby girl was in a sleeveless dress with sandles......totally different!  :)  But all in all like last year, we enjoyed the Pumpkin Patch and look forward to next fall when we do it all over again.  Here are a few shots from our visit this year.

Well, I'm still on my Heidi kick!  Here is a layout I created.  My mother took this photo of Heidi and I - a few days after delivering my daughter.  I'm still not sure what we where laughing so hard about....Who knows!  LOL
Anyway, I thought this was a great picture which captured my friendship with Heidi.  When we're together we're full of girlish laughter.  Fun Times in Nashville!  :)

My friend Heidi is a big twitter person so when I found this chick stamp at CKC-Houston this past July, I knew right away that I would use it to make a birthday card for Heidi.
After creating the card, I had some extra scraps that I decided to use to make a smaller coordinating card (which I didn't mail off - I will use it at a later date for someone).  I just love this little stamp.  I used distress ink to color the stamp in.  I will let you all know who the stamp is designed by as well as the other materials I used - by tomorrow.
I found in creating this card that in order to keep your scrap pile at a minimum, it's a good idea to use your extra scraps right then and there.  After creating a layout, you can use your scraps to make a coordinating card, or after making a card, you can use your scraps to make a coordinating mini card - right on the spot.  Then your card can be used at a later date for someone else.

So I'm on Yahoo! and on the news bar, they are showcasing an article on Shine Yahoo! by Joanna Douglas regarding Robin Barcus Slonina's State of Dress.  Robin's creations are quite remarkable.  Talk about a source of inspiration in everyday things.  So far, Robin has 8 dresses in her State of Dress collection.  I hope she does all 50 states, it would be amazing to see the end product.  This is the dress inspired by Nevada - created using Casino Chips.  Anyway, I just wanted to encourage everyone to check out her site - it's pretty awesome!

My main goal here was to create a bookmark that was masculine yet inspiring all at the same time.  One that would inspire and remind us that anything we Dream of doing is Possible with Hard Work, Determination, and most importantly with God.

Tim Holtz Stamp set was used with this bookmark along with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Advantus Tim Holtz Idea-ology Mini Mask Compass.

In the August 30th post entitled “Celebrate Life” I discussed how for my mother’s birthday I created a series of cards for her.  I said I would share the cards and I’m sorry for the delay – so here they are.  The cards are in the order I gave them to her.  One for each day leading up to her actual birthday.  I had a lot of fun creating this Celebrate Life set.  It was just exciting to see how I would create the next mini card, but yet at the same time make a card that was fitting for my mother and her personality.  So without further adieu, here is the Celebrate Life Mini Card Set.  I hope you all enjoy!

Yes, I know it's not even Halloween yet and here I am talking about December....well, I just wanted to let eveyone know that Ali Edwards is starting up her yearly December Daily again this year.  To find out more about the process, just click on the banner on the right side of the screen or vist Ali's website
Last year, I was going to participate in the December Daily, but ended up being sick most of December...first with a cold that my daughter and I passed back and forth and then the cold for me - turned into a sinus infection - HORRIBLE!!!!  I've never had a sinus infection before.....and it wasn't fun.  Anyway, I got my book together ahead of time, but didn't have the energy or time to complete my book.  But I do plan on participating this year.  If you would like to join in on the fun, please do.  I'm sure it will be quite the experience.  I hope to start working on getting my book together by the last week of this month or the first week of November.
