1st Cousins - so Beautiful.  This is one of my first pics of the girls together.  Can't wait for the many more memories they will create together, and the many more beautiful pics to come!

One of my first scrapbooking layouts of December included a Christmas gift of a 1-page layout Celebrating Cousin Cyniah's 1st birthday.  I used stickles as sprinkles on the top of the small cupcakes and like the way the overall look and feel of the layout came together.  I also decided to focus on two pictures that I believe will have the most meaning when she is older, a picture of Cyniah with her mother and grandmother and another picture of Cyniah with her two grandfathers.  I had a fun time making this layout, using her party invitation, and her birthday bib as a source of inspiration.  I can't wait to give it to her on Christmas!

This photograph was taken after my Brother-In-Laws wedding – which my husband was one of the groomsmen.  I think hubby looks very dapper in his tux.  Anyway, I had this paper for quite some time and finally decided to put it to good use, along with the stickers on the right side (which were a set) – I thought the two paired nicely.  The “Man of My Dreams” 3-D embellishment was perfect too – seeing as how my husband and I went to go see a play entitled “The Man of Her Dreams” the night he proposed.  J  I also liked the crown elements on the patterned paper.  I decided to use Glossy Accents to make the crowns pop – just a little bit.

I rarely get to do a “just because” layout of my husband – so I enjoyed doing this one for him.  He is definitely honorable, charming, patient, my rock, my hero….and my babe of course!

Well, I'm still on my Heidi kick!  Here is a layout I created.  My mother took this photo of Heidi and I - a few days after delivering my daughter.  I'm still not sure what we where laughing so hard about....Who knows!  LOL
Anyway, I thought this was a great picture which captured my friendship with Heidi.  When we're together we're full of girlish laughter.  Fun Times in Nashville!  :)

Recently, I embarked on a journey through Big Picture Scrapbooking.  I decided to take the 13 day journey into the Big Idea Festival.  In this free class they made available to scrapbookers across the world, 13 well known scrapbookers were able to create 3 projects (1 main project and 2 bonus projects).  Each scrapbooker was provided with the same kit and was challenged to create 3 projects using that kit.  I'll try to find out which kit they all used and post it to my website.

So anyway, my layout above was inspired by two different workshops.  One project was the Summer Surprise Door Cone inspired by Elizabeth Dillow.  On my Girlfriends, I incorporated the butterfly technique that Elizabeth used.  Secondly, my layout was inspired by Lisa Day's "My Pride and Joy" layout, in which I scraplifted bits and pieces of her layout to create my layout.

After seeing Lisa Day's layout I knew I wanted to scrapbook a photo that was taken in 2008, of my dear friend Rosemary and I at the Parthenon in Nashville, TN.  I love the "school girl" look of the photo.  I also thought it would be great to incorporate Elizabeth Dillow's butterfly technique.  I think that colors and the elements on the page fit nicely together to create a nice and simple layout.
